Nah a game like that just wouldn't work multiplayer, it'd be a slow moving database style game where you spend 5 hours mining while waiting for something to happen.

X3 Terran Conflict is pretty snazzy, I've not had a huge amount of time to play it yet but it's a LOT bigger than X3 Reunion, which was already massive. It's probably not a game for everyone, but if you're into the whole space combat/trading/development thing it's basically the best you'll ever see....
