Hi Pareto welcome back. Always nice to see faces from the UO past.
God I miss those days, no game will ever match UO for sheer scope alone, let alone the quality of pvp.

Re: Favourite games list(Not done this for a while!)
Some good shouts there on UFO, Dizzy and Settlers 2. Settlers 2 is perhaps the most relaxing strategy game of all time, you could easily play while watching TV, reading a book or whack one out. Something therapeutic about the awesome soundtrack and lots of little men building away. I remember playin...

Re: What games are you playing?
I'm currently playing Forza 4 which is excellent and League of Legends purely because it's addictive rather than enjoyable. Just finished Gears of War 3 which was good fun, I like the multiplayer but not getting hooked up on it in anticipation of Modern Warfare 3 due in a couple of weeks. I'm also l...

Also for anyone who named Daggerfall read this:

Sounds like Skyrim could be the best yet.

Re: I-C History
Even Buster fulfilled his role as generic meat and general diversioner. Truth! Never was much of a PvP'er but if i could die usefully I would try my best. Great post Calix, great times and great memories. You were a team player so that automatically made you a better PVPer than 95% of people out th...
Re: laptops
I doubt you will get one for £500 capable of playing those games at high settings. Need to up the budget to £700-800 at least.
Or you could purchase one of machines the other fine gentlemen in this thread have suggested.

Re: I-C History
Cutts I love you for producing such an awesome history. Must have taken some time. I put the success of the small numbers in I-C down to one thing: the recruitment policy. basically if existing members didn't like the applicants' personalities, they weren't going to get in no matter how good or bad ...

Summoning balls allowed you to recall a bonded pet from wherever it was.
They were mainly introduced for when pets and their ghosts got stuck.

Re: Whatever happened to
some of what used to be ChG still play, Scotswife/Faithless/Linus etc but they now run under the banner of D! they have some of the last remnants of PVP! with them too, the likes of Greg/North etc. basically you only ever see them on in numbers, 1 or 2 forget it, they must have at least 5-6people a...

Re: Desktop PC
Calix is such a wise businessman.
I'm completely out of touch at the moment, havent upgraded my PC for nearly two years.
Core i7s seem to be the best processors available right now and core i5 a good compromise.

Re: Starcraft 2
Thanks for the advice guys. I'm nearly finished I think with the Campaign and then I'll jump into the MP. I've always been a fan of protoss so will probably give them a try.
