Re: 'Fun' things from early UO that were gradually phased ou

Just FYI, it's possible to allow recall and gate in and not out, or vice versa. Or just allow gate and not recall. Or just allow gating one way...

Not that I'm convinced any of these are a good option, just saying in case someone wants to present an argument for why we should!

Crafting system summary (as implemented)

Quick summary, I'll re-write at some point: Crafting in AOS is a strange mix. On the one hand, you have the excitement of runic tools and the varied items they create. On the other hand you have a class that is made completely useless without certain items - and even worse, those certain items are a...

Re: 'Fun' things from early UO that were gradually phased ou

Also .. waaay back ... you could kill guards. Me Slamer and Morth(Belg too maybe?) did that in AOS! Lured one outside GZ and Ev'd it for 15 mins or so. Recall into Dungeons = worst thing ever IMO. Death crates would be a fun thing to get working again as before. AOS resist change was der beste! Old...

Spellbook crafting

Do we want this in?

If we do it would need to be of much more limited scale than on OSI - it would completely upset the balance of a P25 shard to allow that amount/intensity of mods.

Re: Issues I have with current setup

Oh and private housing is ridiculous - why on earth would we have it in? Public houses can still set their doors to owner only, etc. Private housing means people can't even enter your house. Crazy.

Re: Generating interest

It's difficult because the main UO forums (stratics and uoforums.com) don't allow free-shard talk, and the RunUO free shard community is overrun with hundreds of shitty servers trying to advertise themselves and their 5-player server. The only real way is to get information to people that liked P25 ...

Re: Client download

Best catch phrase. That client issue was something i fucked up - UOSA works fine, although isn't ideal - AOS weps show up as their pre-AOS graphic(Bone Harv as Cutlass, etc). Also the UOSA one has a UOSA badge on the login screen. No big deal but it's not very professional. We'll have to look into a...

Re: Whatever happened to

Yeah, remember you from EU/L25.

Probably 3 months for the shard, nearly all the coding is done - but lots of testing and advertising to do still.

Lots of pics here:
