sorting an IRC channel

Can we register #aosredux on qnet please? I have no idea how we do this and get Qbot in there etc. I'll start joining other UO related channels and approach people directly by PM when they talk about AoS or freeshards or something.

Ex UO GM Reddit AMA (Q&A)

Saw this from 9 months ago when doing some UO related searching. Former GM (Panda) answering questions from UO fans. Lots of boring stuff but talks about how he kept track of macroers/exploiters etc and some other cool stuff. http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/kh4fa/iama_former_gamemaster_for_ult...

Re: Intro

Welcome dude, good to have a non-aos stalwart here who is open to rediscovering the game. I'm confident that once you get your head around the changes you'll be excited to get stuck in to all the options AoS presents. I'm sure you already have but have a read through some of our threads, you'll soon...

Re: Spellbook crafting

What's wrong with that? It's no more ridiculous than any other stat you can get on them, they came on shields anyway and everyone used them.

I know I'd rather use a spellbook than a shield if the stats were the same on both! I'm not suggesting that both could be used at the same time of course...

Re: Spellbook crafting

I always wanted a spellbook with the same properties as shields could get, for my puremage this was really just sc0, DCI.. So I could use a spellbook rather than a shield (which I always thought looked ridiculous on a magical wizard) without missing out on the DCI/resists.

Re: Client download

Didn't we have an issue a while ago (when we first started) where we had to download it and patch to a specific update as it was missing some graphics and some of the maps were slightly off causing sync issues? I know we've changed the models of some of the items but I thought the SA one would still...

Generating interest

What community sites/fan sites do we need to start generating interest from? I'll start creating conversations in a non-spam/advertising way. Clx assuming you are already a member of many and have visited a few, Where do you think we need to target? Obviously avoiding 'competitor' shards forums. I'l...

Client download

Can we create a custom client to offer exactly the right level of patching out of the box for maximum compatibility. Any barrier to entry needs to be minimised, and hassling abuot getting the level of patching just right is a pointless nuisance, and anyone who gets it wrong will soon complain about ...

Re: Webpage

I think it's key really, it's a marketing tool as well as a social hub. It's the first port of call for people checking out if they want to take the effort to give it a go. I'm up for getting a freelancer to look at it for us but I think we've got the capability to develop/populate it between us if ...

Re: Where we are so far...

Ok cool - looks like a one time instant thing, I think we can think of a more meaningful staged/phased and scaling system. I will put some thought into it and post a proposal of faction-esque epicness.

Re: Where we are so far...

Any chance of a summary/link? Rewards don't need to be much, but definitely something worth taking the effort for!

Re: Where we are so far...

Did we ever put any more thought into the referral scheme I briefly touched on like a year ago? Minor rewards for referrers once referred player hits certain skills etc? I think this will be key, word of mouth amongst the 'underground' freeshard player community will be absolutely key.
