I would like to think I would get my armor back say if I lost it tomorrow. But since when simply looking for a res after some fair fun pvp I get "fuck off asshole" and alike, I am not so optimistic. I kind of suspect whatever blues lifted my armor would see my losing it as suitable punishment for murdering ppl etc.
So I would give armor back to anyone I knew and probably other reds, but anyone else I would keep it or sell.

Id return peoples stuff, except like the case on EU when Reborn Gremlins stuff dropped at my feet, the kid was such a fucking prick to everyone in game that i couldnt return, but then again most of it was shit!
But on Drachs i have no problems with anyone!

Depends entirely on the item and person.
90% of drach people wouldn't get an item back from me. At the same time most wouldnt return to an I-C so I'm not really fussed.
If the item isn't of use to me or a guildmember I'd most likely return the item.
Thankfully insurence bug happens hardly ever (most of the time items arent insured even though people claim they are) so I never really worry about it.

and me? seriously i doubt it
tbh it depended who it was imo. EK / I-C / Any guild who i regularry interact with i would return, wats the point of stopping them interacting with u?
If it was a regular shittalker / ganker at gate then i would only take what i needed then return.

Everyones Favourite Target
Everyones Favourite Target
As many mentioned above, there are many good reasons to return the stuff, like:
- keep someone in game for further fights/fun
- dont feel guilty yourself
- it could have also happened to you (most valid point IMO)
There is only one "valid" reason to keep such stuff :
- greed
But who likes greedy people ?
On my LS times there have been 4 major Fel/Champ/PK guilds and although many of them are big tards, worst cheaters and the biggest trashtalkers, but when an armor-drop happened from my knowldge the stuff were ALWAYS returned. - Once a guy kept an item.
Result was he was kicked out of his guild - and so aswell out of this Fel-community and became KOS - aswell the guild he was in replaced 1/2 of the value of that item.
The more people you can keep playing Fel, the more fun you could have I think.
Cheers

In a long fight with jo/$MH/1% today I killed a guy who had a nice SC warfork on him. It was personally blessed for 'Seth'. The char I killed was not Seth. So it was personally blessed, but on the wrong char.
Ernie asked for me a few minutes later and wanted to know if I would be willing to sell it back to the guy. I asked for the guy whos PDB it was.
Seth appeared promptly. (its the naked guy, not the unicorn/ninja git)
I guess he was happy when I just returned it.
My contingency plan for SIN insurance bug items:

I knew that question would come, and I have already thought about it.Angus wrote:Even me Steph?
My contingency plan for SIN insurance bug items:
- insure the items
- lock them down on the porch of a public house
- explain they are impounded for substance abuse, tax and import duty reasons but will be returned in due course if all is in order
- let the situation simmer for a week while Angus makes twice the amount of his usual posts, so about two zillion.
- make the house private to be sure I have no unwanted company at the unlocking ceremony
- collect the items
- arrange an in-game meeting
- have the SIN member perform various ridiculous acts, like explaining why they love the items so much, juggling, or making the promise to move to another shard.
- make sure the screenshots are in order
- make some more screenshots
- drag all the items to the SIN member
- cancel the trade
- say: only kidding, cu
- make some more screenshots
- repeat point 11
- reluctantly tick the trade checkbox
