quite honestly, I don't know.
The shard still shows as 'medium' under population on the log in screen at peak times and there was a fair turn out for the last big event.
It's probably dying tbh, but I'll probably stick with it till they pull the plug.
btw, there's been a couple of technical 'advances' in the past few months. Now there's an installer for the old client like the one for EC. You download that, it installs the game with the current files - no sitting through a couple of years worth of patches.
Also the login.cfg is no longer used, I'm told it's now hard coded into the client. It caused something of a problem last week when they had those big storms. I don't understand it all, but if you really want to know I can copy/paste a few posts from the UHall thread. We had to add a line to our windows host file if we wanted to be able to play.
