So how was christmas/new year in japan?

Hey Nox!

Xmas in Japan was OK. It's not a big deal here because it's not a Christian country but of course lots of celebrations etc. But people still work on Xmas day. The big deal is Xmas eve. This is a time for couples. For some reason...

Anyway, over Xmas I went to Nagano (think winter Olympics) to Ski with one of the schools I work at. We take the kids to the schools ski lodge and go skiing. It was pretty awesome. Actually it was the first time I ever went skiing but I did pretty awesome and had a great time.

New Years was fun! Spent it with Yorda and Nanonnine and some of their swedish homies. Went to a club which had pretty decent music and was all you can drink, then hit up karaoke to sing our hearts out. I enjoyed it very muchly.

WTF I thought I updated more recently than this..

Hmm..

I turned 24 this week. I had three birthday parties, the first of which was two weeks ago!

I was surprised at a party (club night) I regularly go to, when the DJ put on birthday tune and my friends produced a cake with candles and the like. It was a total shock but was pretty pro of them.

Also enjoyed Valentines here in Japan.

They do things a little bit differently here. Instead of men giving women shit, women give men chocolate.

I got about 50 pounds worth of chocolate from various friends/girls who love me. Which was cool.

Went on a nice date on valentines day which took me to a place with a great view of the city..

Also got totally owned recently. I started doing some laundry at 12pm in my buildings laundry room and fell asleep in my room. When I woke up my shit was all gone. My own fault but still... someone's out there walking around in my pants. Fucking weird.

Sorry for shit tiny update, its 1.30am got to get up for work in the morning.

Ok best 5 month gap between updates, apologies homies!

What have I been up to? Hmm..

I've changed my work situation, now I'm just going to be working at one place monday-thursday, and have fridays for private students, which means I'll be able to actually have freetime and the like, which is nice!

Since my last update (February), I've been back to London for a short holiday. It was great, I ate shitloads and didn't see any I-C fuckers.

Upon coming back to Japan, it was Cherry Blossom season. I experienced it for the first time soon after I first arrived, but this time, having been here for a year, I arranged my own party. had about 40-50 people come. Took a bit of effort to sort out but was good!

Spent the usual time drinking, goings out etc etc. You guys aren't interested, I know...

In my last update I said I did something on Valentines. Well I'm still with that bird. Here's a picture of us in front of Osaka castle.

I'm still going out meeting lots of people, trying to improve my Japanese, being chased by girls, but generally I'm happy with my bird so i'm trying to be good.

This was a picture I took at a festival. It was hard to understand what the point of it was. I think it's kind of something to prove your manlyness. These guys carried these massive burning sticks through the streets, then went to a temple, made a lot of noise, then ran away. It's the condensed zole version, of course.

Oh yeah, I joined the gym. I regularly take baths with other men. 90% of Japanese men have tiny dicks. the other 10 % have really tiny dicks.

I just realised that I regularly go to the QQ shop.

It's 99yen shop, but 9 = kyu "q" so we just call it "qq".

I recently got an interesting "job".

It's through one of my old students. I've been going to his office to hel phis company translate a website, and check the English as we do the translation.

Which isn't interesting in itself, but what is interesting is the content of the website.

Oh yeah, I saw lots of fireworks this summer. It's a big thing at summer festivals.

The best so far have been at this place. It's on the river just north of one of the busy areas of the city. Fucking packed but excellent fireworks.
