The missus and I are heading up to Edinburgh for a long weekend in December, and I wondered whether you can give me a nod in the right direction of what to do and what not to bother with.
Things we like :
Pubs
Shopping (her)
Castles & other vestiges of a simpler time
Good food
Not getting 'jibbed' for being English
Any activities you can recommend that would smash the apexes off this typical list of tourist cliche would be more than welcome.
Me n my missus did edinburgh for a 4 day trip a few easters back.
things i remember;
edinburgh zoo
hardrock cafe
the castle (awesome view)
the prince(?) gardens (below the castle, and are a lovely stroll)
the several free muesems are worth a visit (history etc)
The Rab C Nesbit tribute centre is well worth a look
YOUR GAMES ARE THE GAYIST THING EVER ACRCADEN CRUSADE WAS EPIC FAIL AND SO WAS ANY THING U MADE WITH A P THE REST WAS JUST FLAT OUT GAY U DONT DESERVE LIFE NO U DONT DESERVE ANYTHING U ARE JUST A GAY MORON WHO NEEDS TO GET A LIFE
I'll be honest, I'm not really to sure about Edinburgh, it's not really somewhere I've been in the last 10 years to often outside of Easter Road/Tynecastle.
I'll have a scope around though, have a few friends from down that way so they might be able to point me in the right direction.
