try to score as many as possible

and try to concede less than you score

you need to do this in every match

Been playing this last few days as well - its free to download now for anyone that cares.

My formation is 4-3-1-2 (looks a bit fucked below)

Code: Select all

             x x

          ^ x ^
          : :
          : :

                 x
Elgin City in the first division after 2 seasons & 0 money. I concede quite a bit but score a hilarious amount as I have all the settings quite aggressive/pushing hard.

If its a team I expect to hammer usually play 3-4-3

What team are you? I signed some hilariously good players as City, if I actually had money to spend (literally 10million) and you can build a team fit for the champions league in a few seasons.

I can't remember guys to sign offhand, but two guys who were awesome for me was Adolfo and David Poole. Played Adolfo just behind the two strikers and he finished his first season with 30 goals, Poole scored 15 goals or so - he's aged 15 or so as well.

There was another guy Joao Paiva...he absolutely raped division 3 in Scotland. Also signed martins and a few other players as backups - potential for selling on for ££ given I have a budget of about £10/week.

All these guys you can sign for free and own.

It's only slightly simpler. It's still text hell style game.

Much simpler & quicker, you can rattle through seasons and dont have to pay as much attention to tactics/training/coaches.

There is also a database upgrade to bring all the teams update....dunno how good it will be though.

The FM match system is pretty much based on the original Champ Managers, so it's very similar. You'll find it runs so quickly in comparison - at least on my system. Theres no '3d' match interface or BS like that slowing it down. There is player regens etc and attribute masking.

The editor is nice and really easy to use as well - loads of patches/databases etc released for it as well

If you can play FM, you'll walk this. Still good fun though.
