I read an interesting fact in the Newspaper the other day, Scotland is now the third most state dependant country in the world, behind Iraq and Cuba. The state spend comprises 70% of gross domestic product.

Good luck getting a job though.

Spending tax payers money on public services is not necessarily a bad thing.

Except it means that Scotland cannot possibly be self sufficient, but we all knew that anyway.

Cuba and Iraq live off handouts. So does Scotland.

glglgl. I'm having similar slog to you I guess Angus, graduated last july and have been looking for summer09 starts, I'm looking for B2B sales or recruitment consultancy roles. had a few interviews. had an assessment centre yesterday, 18 people to start and I managed to make it to the final 6. Were some pretty talented guys there (WHY ME LOL) including a qualified accountant and an experienced solicitor looking for a career change. The accountant got sent home after the first stage and the solicitor made it to the final stage with me. We then had to do numerical/commerical/verbal reasoning tests and fuck knows how but I scored on the 85th percentile so I now have a final interview with them.

You seem like a smart nob so no need to tell you this, but unless you are fucking rox, or get lucky, expect several rejections but always seek plenty of feedback, it really helps so much.

Went really well, alot better than I expected actually.

Initial signs are good, get back to me in a few weeks when ill meet the next director, then if that goes well ill be there for two days or so to see how i get on, then its hopefully a job offer.

I got on really well with the chap so thats great, we spoke about UO rofl, he was like "wow really UO? What shard?" that made me rofl. I think ill be ok, the only issue ill have is if someone else is more experienced, in which cake ill shit in their cakez and win irl.

Its for a games company who are very enthuiastic about the social side of gaming, MMOs, Live etc etc. They asked me how i first got into the social side of gaming, started of with the obvious N64 Mario Kart/Goldeneye/Command and Conquer on the PS1 (Two TVs/Two PS1s!) then I moved onto UO as my first real MMO. I dunno why, the minute i said it i was like "God dont mention Warcraft", the guy took it well though and said he played it for two years but i was quick to move on, Live/PSN etc.
