I'm going to E-mil these newbie developers and offer my consultation services regarding the idea.
What they need to do is make a new server BASED on the underlying principles of the older ruleset.. Not try to recreate entirely any old era in specific, if they do that no matter what they do they'll piss people off and likely fuck it up.
but to take in all the aspects that were important and work towards recreating them. Especially given they can't just go back and use the old code because it no longer exists. Not one of the original developers still works there they're all going to be Trammelfriends.

pvp is pretty balanced, new thing called imbuing means everyone can make top level armour so its not just one or two uber leet suntan dodgers owning coz they has da itemz! that said speed hacking archers are so tiresome they can rip you to pieces before you have time to scratch your arse.

I ahve to say I'm enjoying it, its passing the time quite nicely whilst searching fruitlessly for a job!
