Yeah, the answer is really just "play lots of games".

senji, any suggestion on hitting the larvae inject in a timely fashion? Normally I've been doing it by having queens hotkeyed, pressing V and shift-clicking the minimap - this works great, but I'm sure I must miss loads of time when I don't quite inject fast enough, thus missing a lot of larvae overall. Perhaps I should just get into a habit of periodiaclly double tapping hatchery hotkey to check the spawn larvae status whilst I'm doing other things. Something to work on I guess.

Recently I have been having real trouble with dealing with early pushes, and generally being offensive in any way early on. I can always scout them ok and know when they are coming but despite that most of the time I seem to get steam rolled. The times I do defend them I win but its really frustrating losing to a player I know I can beat

Cannon rushes and 6 pools I am fine with its more the Protoss and Terran Zeolot/Marine Marauder pushes that do me in. I am finding it hard to find decent upto date guides on it and I think generally my early game needs a lot of work.

I didn't even realize you could do it by clicking the minimap. What I do is I have all my queens in a group, I hit the hotkey button it'll take me to one of the queens, I'll inject then manually go through the rest of the queens to do it too. I'm no expert, but you pretty much nailed it with ''playing lots'', you'll develop a sense of timing of how long it has been since you last injected and know to do it again.

On a side note the placement match placing thing seems to have changed from the beta. I went W1-L4 and got placed into bronze in 1v1, then in 2v2 I went W4-L1 and got placed into silver?

It all depends on who you get matched up against in your placement matches. Being in bronze doesnt mean you only fight bronze level players either its a weird system.

From what I understand, your league doesn't really make that big a difference; you have a hidden match making rating which is what it uses to match you up with other players, it literally doesn't care what league you're in
