Gotta look at the context. Last day of business. The money is effectively lost from the transfer kitty if we didn't spend it that day. Its way over the price, but we had to spend the money and we needed a decent striker.

In all seriousness Nix he will fucking dominate that league if he feels like it. Class player, retarded human.

Oh and Carroll is stupid money but if that's what it costs to get a quality forward now, what choice did Liverpool have? What were their other options?

chelsea come out of this best imo...
torres is proven world class, carroll/suarez combo at 50+ mill neither proven, both got talent, but world class? throw in the mix carroll will probably rape/pillage/be a thug at some point in the next 5 years and do time...

If Torres hadn't had such a shit time with injuries in the last year I'd fully agree Merc. Talent-wise he's the best player in the league I think. Only player to ever make Vidic look foolish anyway. Has to be a question mark over his attitude and injuries though.

Carroll is what you get when you mix the blood of Angles Celts and Vikings. A fucking animal built for war.

Suarez and Carrol both has heaps of talent, but still pretty unproven.
Good debut from Suarez, nice touches and movement.
And way ahead of torres when it comes to effort and attitude anyway.
If Carroll continues his progress pool will have a class pairing up front.
Still need to get some more coverage on the rest of the pitch though.
Need a world class midfielder and some proper wingers.
And replace neanderthals in defence.

This window shows that the owners are willing to invest though. And that commolli dude or whatever the fuck hes called has an eye for talent, so im positive when it comes to the next 2-3 seasons. Wont be as hard to reinvent the squad as i first feared.
Torres is by far the best striker in the Prem atm if on form.
But perma injury and shitty attitude.

Will laugh hard when chelsea has to play euro league and pool takes the 4th cl spot.

Suarez and Carroll will not be able to play alongside each other effectively.
There I said it; quote me in future if I'm wrong.

Carroll is like Bent in the sense that he needs to play up front alone with the services of a pair of wingers and a solid central midfield behind.
