Its been a while since most of us have *really* played an MMO and like myself most of you will probably find more time for console/pc gaming. Now that we're in the traditional release period, what games is everyone looking at getting?
Im back in my 4th year (Honours) and opted against a loan this year, so money is tight, but working a decent amount so 4 or 5 titles shouldnt be a problem, just dunno what to get, I always find when getting the games is no problem you dont really consider what to buy, but when you can only pick up a few, you want to get the right things.
For me, and im sure it goes for most of us (esp Calix) Football Manager is the definite im going to buy, for a game that is essentially a database its such a time sink.
Others im definitly gonna purchase are -
Gears of War 2 (360)
Fable 2 (360)
Left 4 Dead (360)
After that im not too sure, Fallout 3 will most likely make it in, as will CoD5, perhaps even Little Big Planet for the PS3, but theres load else, Starcraft 2, C&C 3, Pro Evo (Fifa), and a few others that look kinda cool, Mirrors Edge n Legendary for example.
Just wondering what everyone is getting, if anything?

Im gonna hold off on the PES/FIFA debate for now, wait and see what the majority get, ive never played either of them solo, well, not for years, LIVE just makes them both so much more appealing.
Think im gonna stay clear of MMOs, with the possible exception of Darkfall.

Starcraft 2 is gonna be the nuts as well.
I've got the following on pre-order:
Fable 2
GOW 2
Fallout 3
Not so sure about Fallout 3 because it's being made by Bethesda now, and they've changed the style a bit. But Oblivion was great so if it's more like that I guess I will still like it. Problem is finding the time to play all these games.
I've been sitting on Zelda Twilight Princess for my Wii for 2 years, played it for 1 hour. I've also got Super Mario Galaxy and Mario Kart to start. Then for the PS3 I have Heavenly Sword, Ratchet and Clank and Drakes Fortune all sitting unopened.
It's even worse for the DS I have like 5 different FF games to start, plus The World Ends With You, Zelda Phantom Hourglass, Heroes of Mana and Prof Layton' Curious Village all sitting untouched.
I really want to play them all but my tolerance for games is so much less now, I'll play something for an hour then feel like I've had enough.
Other games I'm looking forward to are:
360:
Alan Wake (if it ever comes out)
Guitar Hero World Tour (prolly won't buy it)
Banjo Kazooie
Wii
Wii Music
Shaun White Snowboarding (Uses the balance board)
Super Smash Bros
PC:
Civ 4 Colonisation
Witcher Enhanced Edition
Empire Total War
That's it!

colonization is aids, well it's not too bad, but I find it far too dull to bother with and I'm a huge fan of Civ 4
