Note:

Some of the games I mention aren't in the list because they are the "best" but because they represent something in my gaming history. Mega-lo-mania is the game that got me into strategy gaming, Perfect Dark was clearly better than Goldeneye but didn't feel "special" just because Goldeneye had already done it.

Again, Oblivion is clearly better than Daggerfall, but Daggerfall was the first time I played a game and thought, fuck me this world is so big I don't know what to do next. It also crashed over and over for me.

Diablo launched my interest in online gaming and was the first time I managed to spend £500 on a phone bill (sorry mum).

There are so many more games I want to name it's hard to restrict to just 10.

Fuck I forgot Target Renegade but no idea where to fit it on the list.

I'm actually going to make sure I play this one properly. Oblivion didn't do it for me at all. They've gradually got worse since Daggerfall, be nice to see it back to Morrowind levels at least.

You really need to play Fallout 3.
Oblivion with guns basically, but I love the setting and the depressing atmosphere.

I might buy it when my ded graphics card returns.
