Elective mode lets you break your 'build' and choose more than one skill from a group. So rather than choosing 1 skill from each of the 6 key groupings, you can choose any combination of skills you'd like.

this has rocked my world!

i like the wd .. it's a bit click-tastic but i think they all probably are ?

it's a bit like meat shield (summons) plus nuke so far .. there is a sheep spell also but i haven't noticed it being targettable yet (haven't really tried tbh)

Witch Doctors are amazing. A few of their skills don't really have any synergy like other classes seem to have but they are still extremely fun.

Anyone else bored after the first play through? Found it a bit uninspiring. 10 years in the making and the story is shit to passable and way too short. They are forcing you to have multiple play throughs and I just can't be arsed at the moment.

a few people (see benn/attard/belg) seem to love it, others, not so much. Im in the middle ground. Iv got through to inferno, now im abit bored. You are right the whole force you to run the same game 4 times is abit tedious. The least they could do was add a few extra to each difficulty to spice it up.

I played through it twice, normal and nightmare. I've said this before, but it didn't grab me and I have no desire to play any further. The loot isn't exciting to find, it just feels like random stuff churned out by an algorithm instead of being "designed/crafted", but I guess that's a choice on the developers part. I can't think of a single item I found that I was looking forward to equipping to see how it looked on my character, except maybe the first wizard's hat I found. And when there isn't that loot hook to keep me going the thought of playing through again, but on a higher difficulty isn't enough to keep me playing I guess.

I also have some issues with how the game handles online, like disconnecting (resetting everything, like how hard would it be to make a 5-10 minute save state buffer just in case), lag spikes (serverside?), but I won't go into that since I'm using a 3g connection so it wouldn't be fair I guess.

It's a well made game, but like you said it feels uninspiring. Glad to see some people loving it though, just isn't my cup of tea.
