Hi!
Done several beta rounds for this one.
There are no classes in this game. The xp you earn is invested in the skill you want to use abilities from.
(blades, hammers, fists, pistols, shotguns, assault rifles, chaos magic, blood magic, elemental magic).
Your action bar can only hold a handful of active abilities and a handfull of self buffs so you usually swap these around to suit your current role (heal, DPS, CC, Tank, AoE etc).
You carry two items in your hands which allow you to use 2 skills at the same time.
My first test char used elemental's lightning and Blood's healing.
My latest uses Fist's melee and healing. Haven't decided on a second skill yet, maybe chaos for ranged damage.
You won't be running back and forth to one specific quest HUB. Your quest log can only have ehm... 3 or so quests. When the quest is finished, you use your mobile phone to contact your faction.
Quests are spread out across each area; you'll find them in the weirdest places while exploring. Loads of cinematics with voice acting (not only in the starter area like they did with AoC)
Each quest consists of several tiers (chapters).
There are different types of quests: Story (the main faction storyline that guides you through the world),
Action, (kill stuff, kill stronger stuff, kill bossy stuff)
Item (bring this somewhere and oh no it's an ambush),
Investigation (Puzzles and searching the area for clues. Very challenging the first time. Runes on walls, crows in the sky etc. I couldn't figure it all out so skipped some stuff),
Sabotage (sneak around and destroy stuff or get blown up. Think camera's, IR sensors, explosives),
group/dungeon (your basic instance stuff),
and PvP (faction vs faction vs faction).
I could add screenies but i'm supposed to be working right now.
And i'm lazy.
And you're probably wondering who the hell i am haha
