As Amber said if it was something one of eve/i-c could do on purpose most of us would be wearing inquisitors and even more leet gear now :)

The fact that i-c or eve are around could possibly be that alot of people get killed by those 2 guilds?

I never gave anything on these rumours.

On my homeshard Drachenfels it happened that a lot of player lost parts of their due to not getting an auto-insure.

It always happened but in the last weeks, extraordinary often.
Then there are some telling they know someone who knows how to de-activate the options on other players and it is better not to participate in fights with certain persons.

Can't believe this is true somehow, does anyone know more?
there were two other threads but they mentioned our names so the admins deleted them, as it happens mine and zoles. But I cant stress enough its like 7up "never have never will"

Im extremely dubious about these so called bugs, I think people are just being careless rather than any bug happening.

I looted a blessed gm made cloak a month or so ago in Deceit, can't even remember who it was off, and not sure i've seen the bugger since as i would have given it back np.

I think the positive news of I-C/EVE fairness just makes more people post in the hope that they might get an item back.

I quite agree with Durinin and the others who said that your gear would be supreme if you would make other's stuff drop. There is certainly better loot out there than what goes missing. Obscurity's suit was certainly nowhere near the worth of the kit of some of the mages you routinely fight.

Besides 'could' there is still 'would'. Even if it wouldnt be due to the moral aspect, there is still the matter that if people lose the majority of their uo possessions they might turn their back on uo, play something else and decrease the amount of people you can play with.

I am convinced that items are left on corpses because of two reasons:
  1. Player mistakes, i.e. autoinsure switched off, personally blessed items on wrong char or no gold in the top level of the bank box
  2. SHITTY programming for the game without sufficient QA

I lost my ring because I simply forgot to insure it (or forgot to check if it was insured). I got it 10 minutes before I lost it (was a testrun) and so I will have to stick with my old ring i guess. =)
