Nah I have several new characters.
The game is surprisingly fun if you can put up with the first few days of painful grinding.
Also, being in a game full of American idiots definately provides comedy.
They hate Koreans and other AZNs so much, it's hilarious.
The smack talk you see from the average 14 year old American retard (i.e. 99% of the player base) cracks me up hard and reminds me of UO, but without any GMs to reprimand people.
Nah Villa, it's not just new graphics that inspire people. But the general direction the game is going under this new producer.
The build up to finding out about this client was part of a 3 month long global storyline of events, recently 4 towns have been under invasion at the same time, with the moongate occasionally also being invaded. Including Fel side cities and gates.
The big pixel crack rewards for this are cursed major artifacts, which have been hinted as being the way forward for dealing with artifacts.
The proficiency system has been being worked on, although was pulled recently for further work and is aimed at further balancing item properties by making them require skills.
I'm not going to sit here and preach, because, yes, the game is fucked right now. Although the few fights I've had I've really enjoyed. There are multiple gimp templates and issues. Overall though I've enjoyed playing again this last month and intend to continue.

New client will probably draw in atleast a few new players for sure, but it'll also mean that the old players won't even recognize UO anymore and may just give up on any hopes of the game being as good someday as it once was.
Also on a funny sidenote not knowing much what's going on in the game atm, I went to U.hall on stratics to read on the new client and noticed something interesting about the forums:
