So the kids are demanding a modern games console.
Which one has the most 'downloadable' games available ?
More importantly, which one is the least hassle to 'setup' in order to allow the 'downloaded' games to work ?

Xbox360 ?
Or do I wait for a PS3, WII or something ?

The most important factor is the ease of access to a wide selection of 'downloadable' games, and as little hassle as possible to get them to work on the console.

I dont think any of them are particularly easy to do. WII = cheapest and more kid friendly though.

Personally I would go with Xbox360.
But like Pollo said, you're gonna have to start modding... and that gets messy and becomes a hassle.

If money is no object then go for the PS3.

Wii does really seem more a "family console" though.

I would go for Xbox360, it has the largest selection of games and its fairly easy to find and buy a chipped/modded one on ebay.

Apparently there has been a ton of replacement wires been shipped because the ones on the controller are so fragile that they are breaking on everyone way too easily.

Theres a clip on Youtube I think. Someone playing a baseball game and swings then it snaps and the controller goes flying.

There's even some people in the US bringing a class action lawsuit against Nintendo.

To which Nintendo lauged at them.
