Quite a few of us have started playing this nifty, completely free, fastpaced little FPS. It's based on the Quake engine and is a really small download - just 175mb.

It's really easy to get into, and doesn't have too bad a learning curve once you get used to the movement. We play just about every night, mostly instagib games.

Not the sort of thing you will play for hours on end, but its great for a quick 15 minute deathmatch or CTF. We're going to try and arrange more games between ourselves so we can avoid public servers where possible, post here if you're interested, or give us a shout on irc.

I hear that instagib is based on luck.

a week of training and i will rock at this game. however i dont care for playing against other cunts unless we start playing clan matches or something.

Well we're trying to get enough of I-C & friends to allow us to play each other as much as poss. Can't avoid playing public games tho. I think we're a long way off being at a competitive clan level, some of those guys are just so fucking good. Could be a laugh though.

Yeah even the better players arent really a match for competitive play. It's good fun, I'm slowly getting to grips with it.
