still expect an end of feb release?
all the leaks seem pretty decent, but the companies lack of proffesionalism sure is worrying.

Villa thinks they'll push ahead with the 25th release, but it's going to be limited according to some interview by Tasos. They didn't tell the community yet though, it's just through the interview. I guess preorders will be taken in the next few days, but we'll see.

limited by numbers apparently
ie/ i believe it will be dl only, and they will only allow a certain volume to sell.

haha, that does sound like a good marketing trick to get everyone interested to rush into buying it right at release.

I still post about on stratics as ive got access to a friends UO account.

Anyway, to cut a looong story short. An ex guildie of mine posted this today...
I've been in beta, people are crying about PKs raiding the goblin spawns by the starter town already

Incidently, the game seems like it still needs a bit of work but its pretty good fun
It makes me smile, however didnt this happen in UO? Trammel was the result? I hope the devs have balls of steel or else Darkfall could go trammie...

a)the game is solid
b)unspectacular but a great platform

I did 3 weeks in the beta before I went off on holiday last week.
I haven't had a chance to test the latest 2 patches but I'm still not convinced this is the right game for former UO PvPrs.

My main concern is in regards to the lack of viability for solo and very small groups of people. The game is currently heavily biased towards groups of 5+ at the minimum.
There is also a fairly retarded amount of 'grinding' (of sorts) that I hope they eventually reduce.

However, there is nothing else out there that comes close to what UO was at the moment IMO, and on that basis I will probably pre order, but I won't be encouraging anyone else to do so.
