Gonna set up a PC in my kitchen and want to be able to get TV on it, digital freeview if possible.

Have any of you guys got any experience with this kind of stuff?

Advise please.

If you don't yet have a monitor for it then buy one of the Samsung DVB-T monitors. I just got a 20" one for my bedroom, they make both excellent monitors and obviously let you watch freeview, and have loads of connections including hdmi in case you ever want to hook anything else up.

@ Zim -

Was thinking of one of these for the monitor. Only 100 quid and then get a decent PC TV card, maybe one of these.

Not sure of the merits of a TV/Monitor vs PC TV card.

is it not easier to get a freeveiw card for your normal aerial?

i still had my pc hooked up to my moniter for straming HD goodness and the many programs i downloaded (which was about 80% of what i watched)

The aerial will be a completly new one, infact it will be the only domestic one in this house as everything else runs SKY.

Well with PC you will be able to record of course, but fucking hassle having to boot up the PC everytime you want to watch TV or dealing with shitty PC TV in general, although Vista Media Centre works much better.
