Decent post Villa.

I think ill go look at Darkfall a bit more in detail, to be honest I know cack about the game.

I quite like FPS, i find its alot more jump straight in based, which at this point in my life i would have more time for than say a skill based UO. I could be wrong and Darkfall could be skill based (by skill i mean raising skills etc, and not really being able to jump rite into pvp right away).

Still, ill have a cheeky peak at the forums.

You still need to raise your skills in the same way you do in UO - i.e. by using them over and over.

First stage of public Beta should be starting soon-ish from what I can tell.. so not any time soon

Yah, I think they've been stalling for time for the last couple of years.
Not sure why they keep falling behind schedule, but it may be that the 3rd version of graphics they are using might be slightly to blame.

I have no doubt the game will be released (Eventually), and that it will suceed - even if it appeals to a niche market. I suspect that it will appeal to FPS fans too and that might attract a larger playerbase eventually.
The only thing that remains to be seen is whether the game is actually any good.
