Apparently if you prefer 2D...
I'm sure the DEV TEAM are aware that the majority of players think it looks like aids and probably prefer 2D themselves, but in honesty, what can they do about it?
EA obviously insisted on updating the client, their lead developer approved this and they're stuck with it now, it's too late to turn back and EA then force an early open beta, because it's supposed to be ready for release next month, even after they delayed for 2.
It's sad really, I was actually chatting to my good friend HANSE OSI DEV on AIM about how terrible it is and how they've completely ruined the work of the original Origin staff in the process.
But I'm sure it'll fail miserably, just like 3D did, and then UO is left at a critical point, current subscription numbers are only 80,000 according to latest sources, this KR debacle risks halving that, which means either the end of EA UO, or equally gay stuff, like merged shards, mass micro transactions like xfers and advanced chars, free to play limited accounts with subscription benefits and all the other really horrible, PLZ GIEV US MONIES ideas other MMOs have had simply to stave off death.
Or, they could of course ride the waves of Warhammer, now UO is run by Mythic, who plan to release it in 6 months, they can tack on a UO and DaoC sub for an extra $5 and keep them both barely alive while focusing purely on their new cash cow.
On the plus side if they did this, development could hardly get any worse, but, due to Warhammer's obvious immediate success purely due to it's IP let alone the fact it looks awesome, it could mean the revitalization of playerbase UO desperately needs, due to the millions of people who get it practically free.
Most people who dislike it have stopped bothering to explain why after the initial outcry, I guess because they've quit, cant be bothered trying, or just fed up with faggot stratics fanboys throwing stuff like that at them when they do.All your doing is following a facist view that your views and opinions are scripture. Ever since they started posting KR screenshots there have been people who seem to be under the misapprehension that if they all tell each other how wonderful KR looks/is it will actually make it true.
Here are the main complaints I've picked up on from reading stratics:
It looks really dark so you have to turn the brightness up on your monitor.
The way the female paper doll is pretty much a male paper doll with a different head + breasts. I didn't even know there were this many women playing uo until someone started a petition to get this changed.
The characters look like 3d client with spindly legs and arms and big feet.
The art for stuff that goes in your backpack like tools, regs etc is really shit and you can't tell what anything is.
When you run in the forest all the background merges into green and you can't tell where you're going.
A gazillion bugs and crashes stop alot of people even playing for more than 20 minutes at a time.
Oh and my favourite leap of logic by a KR fanboy so far:
Ever play Oblivion? Same engine was used to make KR. Think about that for a moment.

i downloaded the beta, and it was heartbreaking.
it's like a slightly blurry 3d client background with superanimated retarded chars stuck on. whats worse is the character animations seem to be faster then you actually move, basically in horror, i lasted 25 mns in the beta, i logged off and thanked god i no longer give EA money

wasn't intended as a joke, but real fact.
calix is seriously rl gay, i know because i have kissed him and tbh i was tempted to turn straight just so he could turn me gay (i already am, and have been in a loving relationship with him for 2 years on and off).
but someone like calix is so different to graham norton. he's a poncey camp fag, and calix is a man. i don't really understand the point in being all campy and girlie. if i wanted a woman, i'd just be straight, would have saved me a lot of beatings when i was growing up etc.
being with calix is amazing. he proves it's possible to be sensitive and caring, while at the same time able to enjoy football and a pint. he's certainly no "poof", he's just perfect.
i love you calix. i know i don't say it enough. im sorry about the thing on thursday night. please reply to my texts/voice mail. it really hurts when i know you have been online and must have read my emails/pm's and you just ignore.
